INTRODUCTION TO ALFA-ZEMA

Alfazema is a dance inspired by our connection to our “inner healer”, our ability to heal ourselves, as well the healing of the environment. The Ocean as a backdrop speaks about the link between self-healing and the healthy of our habitat. This is Dance Film, Dream Experience. Is it possible that we all have an Inner Healer?

Alfa-Zema means Lavender in Portuguese. This medicinal plant is used in cleansings and healing rituals in the Afro Brazilian Traditions. The sweet aroma of lavender takes us to Bahia, Brazil. Please watch the Introduction prior to film!
